What is

Zoom Teeth Whitening?

Zoom whitening is a popular method of teeth whitening as it can dramatically change your smile and take off years from your entire look. Your teeth can get dull or discolored over time due to various different factors. It can be easily stained by regular consumption of tea, coffee or dark-colored foods. It could also be something else like aging, trauma or exposure to certain minerals. Zoom whitening is a treatment that lightens the color of your teeth by removing any stains or discoloration and leaves you with a pearly-white smile to show off.

Why Get

Zoom Whitening?

Over-the-counter whitening products can be a convenient option, however, they take weeks or months to whiten your teeth just a few shades. Our experts here at Prosper Trail Orthodontics use Zoom Whitening to provide longer-lasting results in under an hour.

The Zoom Whitening

Procedure

The Zoom teeth whitening procedure usually takes 45 minutes to 1 hour. First, a protective cover is placed over your lips and gums so that only the teeth are visible. Next, a layer of the whitening gel will be applied to your teeth where it will remain in place for 15 minutes. A special lamp is then used with the hydrogen Peroxide Zoom whitening Gel.The combination of the two removes the stains from your teeth.

This process is repeated three times. Between each session, your dentist will check on the progress and will adjust the light or add more gel to your teeth if needed.

Although it may be difficult to maintain the correct position each time, our team will make every effort to ensure you are comfortable. After the third 15-minute session, the dentist will then coat your teeth with a paste. This reduces sensitivity that can sometimes occur.
